HIGHLIGHTS:

WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT:

The Pavilion is a nod to the one place in a cricket ground you wish you had access to. With a compact proportion of 40mm case size that wears like a 38mm owing to a cleverly contoured caseback, this watch is an absolute delight to wear. Combined with a sandwich-styled dial, a generous dose of Swiss C3 superluminova, and diamond-cut-rhodium-plated hands for extra sheen, legibility is supreme in any lighting condition. The Pavilion comes fitted with our oil-pulled Chinnaswamy Cognac leather strap for comfortable wear and a matching polished steel buckle with a BWC logo.

You can't miss the cricket details on this wristwatch - the 12H marker is shaped like the wicket, 4, and 6 O'clock markers are prominently cutout to signal the boundary shots, and the counterbalance of the seconds-hand is shaped like a cricket bat.

Turning the solid steel unidirectional rotating bezel allows you to track elapsed overs in a 50-overs or a T20 game. The bezel also doubles up as a countdown timer for timing tasks up to 50 minutes. If you've ever held a cricket bat, you will instantly recognize the bezel's pattern and the push-pull crown. If you get stuck in a test match at Lords with a rain delay, we suggest taking the watch off your wrist to look at the caseback - a deeply embossed relief of a right-hand batsman playing a shot to the covers is perhaps more entertaining.

If you're looking for a go-anywhere-do-anything watch with high-quality case construction, a Swiss automatic movement, a classic styling with 100 meters of water-resistance, the Cover Drive is a compelling choice.

BACKSTORY OF THIS WATCH:

For a billion of us, Cricket is a religion, and our cricketers demi-gods. We have an inseparable relationship with Cricket. Played only in small clubs in the country since the 1800s, the 1983 ICC world-cup victory changed India's affinity to Cricket. We've since produced several first-class cricket players to the world.

Every small patch of land turned to a cricket pitch, empty roads on big game days, large crowds glued to the only TV screen in the neighbourhood, all familiar scenes of growing up in a Cricket-crazy India. It brings a billion of us together, as much as it moves us apart. Cover Drive is a celebration of the spirit of Indian Cricket.
